Chinese Scholar Garden in Staten Island

The Chinese Scholar Garden is located inside the Snug Harbor Museum in Staten Island. It was completed in the 1980's with architect and labor from China.

It is small but it captures the essence of most of the scholar gardens I had visited in China. The big difference is, in China, you will have a million people in the garden.

Aruba vacation

We went to Aruba for a week. Other than a brief rain one day, the weather was perfect. Everyday was the same, 90+ degree but lot of cold breeze.








This is the Natural Bridge. The surging wave reminded me of Hanna in Hawaii.


This is what they called the ruin. Looks like an Arizona desert.
